Chronic Torment: Wind of infections

16/06/09  ||  Kampfar

I wish upon you cancer in the fuckparts and chronic torments of the infernal kind till the day you die. Nah, not really, I sort of love our readers, but humanity as a species must be dealt total war upon. I have no illusions about the Earth getting rid of humans before the Sun gets rid of itself and Tellus with it, kaboom!, that ‘cause we are a breed hard to get rid of. However, drastically reducing the number of homo sapiens is in theory shitty easy. Here is how: bomb all cities with a population larger than 100000 to hell but not back. Yep, that means Gothenburg has to go. Tuddelitu, bye, bye.

Enough of the fundamental daydreaming, I must now mentally ejaculate words all over what Chronic Torment had on the menu speaking 2008. Ehm, “Wind of infections” is a demo and, as we all know, when releasing a demo you hope a not too shabby label catch on to what you’re up to.* Per 18.05.09, circa a year since the release of this full-length bait, so hasn’t happened in the case of them here Finns located in Sweden. It’s not puzzling on level with life that they aren’t signed to a label yet but, trust me, they deserve it more than a hell lot of others. So if I had a record-label, Panzer Division Kampfar Records of course, I wouldn’t have signed them either.

I like Chronic Torment more than I loath them, by a good margin, but the old school death ala Unleashed with an irritating snare doesn’t tickle my testicles well enough to make me hand out a fictive contract. However, if silly rich I’d ship enough money their way for them to visit a real studio and record 3 songs. Why? Well, I love Aborym but their “Worshipping damned souls” demo is pure and unadulterated crap.

*Torture Division and otherwise unrelated black metal bands of the necro Satanic kind of course not included.

6 out 10.
